The heat wave is coming! For that sunburn, you might want to use essential oils that are natural anti-inflammatories with pain relieving properties such as eucalyptus, rose, chamomile, lemon, geranium, helichrysum and, one of my summer favorites, lavender. Mix these with your favorite base, such as Jojoba or coconut (vinegar if that burn is especially painful). Play with mixing your favorite of these oils with frankincense or Ylang Ylang to release stress and balance your mood (which can be particularly important during this time of solstice).
